CW Enerji Solar Plant Perimeter Security

The perimeter security line we built at CW Enerji’s solar power plant using galvanised woven wire mesh, concrete posts and barbed wire on angled cranked arms.

Galvanised woven wire mesh line with barbed wire cranked arms at the CW Enerji solar plant

The line enclosing CW Enerji’s solar power plant runs along the edge of hilly land that is still open to farming. In the photograph the fence separates the panel field on the left from a ploughed field on the right; with two different uses meeting on the same line, the enclosure became a boundary that both protects the panels and keeps the farming activity apart from them.

Rows of barbed wire strained onto angled cranked arms at the top of each post push the plane of the fence outwards and make climbing difficult. The concrete posts were braced with struts at the corners, while galvanised woven wire mesh gives an economical, maintenance-free face along the length of the run.
